Are you suffering from bursitis of the hip? Is it stopping you from doing activities that you enjoy? Are you looking for a fast and effective way to fix the hip Bursitis?
What is hip bursitis?
Bursa are sacs of fluid found around the hip joint where muscles attach to the bones. The purpose of bursa is to help reduce friction when the joint is moving.
Bursitis of the hip is normally accompanied by tendonitis of the gluteal musculature and some muscle guarding which is the body’s natural protective mechanism.
How Does it feel?
Bursitis may feel like a dull pain or discomfort. It can feel tender and warm to the touch. There can also be some swelling and the hip may appear inflamed.
The pain will worsen during or after periods of activity e.g. running. The repetitive movements will further aggravate the bursitis causing it to get more inflamed and more painful.
How to treat bursitis?
Resting and ice packs will help reduce inflammation by reducing swelling and causing the bursae to return to its normal size
There are many different treatment protocols for treating bursitis. One of the latest forms of treatment is laser therapy.
Laser therapy can help treat bursitis by
Improving circulation
Reduce inflammation
Stimulating the healing process
The procedure is painless and non-invasive. There will be no sound and you’ll feel no vibration or heat. Each treatment typically takes only a few minutes. It can also be combined with other forms of treatment such as therapeutic ultrasound to help resolve the injury.
Currently we are offering in North West London a bursitis treatment program.
